A DOG APOTHECARY · EST 2026 · NEW YORK
A no-rinse coat refresher developed with a perfumer and a board-certified veterinary dermatologist. Sandalwood, neroli, vetiver. Six ounces, amber glass, fine mist.
Each named on the bottle in standard INCI. Rice starch, colloidal oatmeal, kaolin, aloe, panthenol, Centella asiatica, Lactobacillus ferment, plus a perfumer-developed scent.
Zero tea tree, eucalyptus, pennyroyal, or the other essential oils dogs should not encounter. IFRA-compliant.
Hand-bottled in Brooklyn, in small batches, with the same restraint you bring to your own shelf.
Amber apothecary glass, matte aluminum pump. Built to sit on the counter, not under the sink.
The Line
01 · Coral
A thirty-second ritual for the space between baths. No-rinse rice starch + colloidal oatmeal + bespoke scent.
02 · Sage
A plant-derived enzymatic spray for the contents of an unfortunate afternoon. Cedar, bergamot, clean cypress.
The Pairing
Resurrection handles the space between baths. Confession handles the rug after the accident. Together — packed in a cream FSC paperboard gift box with die-cut windows revealing both labels — they cover the two most common moments in a dog's week.
The Thesis
Pupproper began on a bathroom shelf. An unopened bottle of Aesop sat next to a half-empty bottle of dog shampoo with a cartoon bee on it. The two products did, structurally, the same thing — clean a surface, leave a scent, ask for thirty seconds of your attention. One was treated as a ritual. The other was treated as an errand.
We started Pupproper to close that gap. Every product is developed with three people in the room: a perfumer, a board-certified veterinary dermatologist, and a designer. We ship slowly. We do one thing at a time.

Pupproper is what you'd buy if the bottle on the shelf next to it was your own.
The Ritual
A coat refresher is a ritual if you decide it is. We've described ours below in the register of a perfumer's instruction card.
Step 01
Hold the bottle approximately 15 cm from the coat. Three short pulls. Resist the temptation to over-apply.
Step 02
A wide-tooth comb, from the spine to the flanks. Calm strokes. Let the rice starch lift the surface.
Step 03
The mist absorbs. The scent settles. The dog notices the change in attention before the change in coat.
What's Inside
Rice starch + colloidal oatmeal + kaolin clay — the absorbents. They lift the surface of the coat without water and give the mist its luxurious body.
Aloe vera juice + panthenol + glycerin + Centella asiatica — the conditioners and botanical. Leave the coat soft, never sticky.
Lactobacillus ferment lysate — a plant-fermented probiotic complex that supports the coat's natural barrier between baths.
Bespoke fragrance — sandalwood, neroli, vetiver. Developed with an independent perfumer on a brief that began with Le Labo Santal 33 and ended somewhere quieter.
Geogard ECT preservation — paraben-free, EWG-approved, gentle on the coat for the bottle's full 36-month shelf life.
Full INCI list on every bottle. No proprietary blends. No asterisks.

The Shelf Test
The brand test we apply to every Pupproper decision is the shelf test. Could this product, with this label, with this copy, sit comfortably between Aesop's Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash and your favorite Le Labo, without being the thing your guest notices and politely doesn't mention?
If yes, we ship it. If no, we go back to the perfumer, the dermatologist, and the designer.
